Why wait to get an AC location/point to enjoy the coolness of one when you can make yours right in your room (as long as you have an electric fan and electricity).
To make a DIY air conditioner, position a shallow pan or bowl full of ice in front of a fan. The breeze will pick up cold water from the ice’s surface as it melts, creating a cooling mist.
3. Stay hydrated
“The body cools down primarily by the evaporation of sweat on the skin,” Director of Integrative Pain Management at The Mount Sinai Hospital Houman Danesh, MD, said. “When the air is dry, sweat evaporates and cools the skin. When the air is humid, sweat doesn’t evaporate as well and the body is unable to cool down.” Hence, the need to stay hydrated always.
4. Create cross breeze
Did you know that if you face your fan out, rather than in at night, your room will stay cooler and you might be able to sleep more comfortably?
Position a fan across from a window, so the wind from outside and the fan combine in a cooling cross-breeze.
5. Choose the right fabrics for the hot weather
Choosing light-colored lightweight fabric like cotton as underwear garment or as bedspread are excellent choices because cotton, generally, is breathable and excellent for promoting ventilation and airflow.
