It is said that drinking about 7 to 8 glasses of water daily is important for your health, but something most people don’t know is that having the first glass of water as soon as you wake up also comes with therapeutic benefits.

Since water plays an important role in the proper functioning of the body. It is advised that from waking up in the morning to sleeping at night, water should be incorporated in our daily lives.

The same way you have to fuel your automobiles in order to keep them working and avoid breakdown is the same way you need to drink water in order to keep your body working properly – as water serves as our fuel.

Drinking water early in the morning has been known to have some vital effects on our body.

It rehydrates your dehydrated body: After waking up from a long sleep, naturally, your body is dehydrated. The first thing drinking water after waking up does is provide your cells with much needed, life giving water.

Drinking water first thing in the morning increases the rate at which new muscle and blood cells are produced.

It fuels your brain: A morning glass of water will leave you feeling sharp and clear throughout the day, giving you an edge over all the dehydrated zombies you encounter.

It prevents and cures diseases: Drinking water first thing in the morning has been proven to help cure certain illnesses such as throat disease, diarrhea, kidney disease, headaches, eye diseases among others.

Purges toxins: Water is known to help purge toxin from your blood, and as a result you get a glowing skin.

It fires up your metabolism: Drinking water is a crucial tactic when it comes to weight loss.But drinking water after waking up is the most optimal way to do it.

It is completely refreshing: It revitalizes the whole body, make you have that crisp feel throughout the day.

In order to attain it’s full benefits, it should be done in the procedure stated below.

Procedure

  • Drink water immediately you wake up, that’s before brushing. (4 glasses of water)
  • Clean/Brush your teeth soon and don’t eat or drink anything for another 45 minutes
  • Have your breakfast as normal

 

Since water is very useful to the human body and does not have a particular time or amount to be drunk, it is recommended that we try to incorporate it into our daily lives.  However, the  benefits of drinking water in the morning are quite rattling and should therefore be put into practice.
