Home Remedies to help beat Obesity

Obesity is a condition in which a person is overweight and has a high degree of body fat. It is the excess accumulation of fat in the body.

Obesity is measured by the Body Mass Index (BMI), calculated by dividing your weight with your height in meters squared.

For a person to be considered obese, he/she should have a BMI of 30 – 40. Obesity is a non-pleasing condition and can lead to various life threatening diseases like stroke, diabetes, heart disease, cancer and the likes.

A sedentary lifestyle and consumption of excess calories are one of the major causes of obesity.

Here, a few home remedies would be given to help not just to control obesity but also maintain a healthy body and mind.

Lemon juice: This is one of the best home remedies for fighting obesity. It helps improve digestion and aids in detoxification. Healthy digestion is an essential pre-requisite for weight loss as it helps your body get the nutrients required to burn fat.

Drink a mixture of lemon juice with honey and black pepper powder in a glass of water on an empty stomach. Do this daily for at least three months.

Green tea: Green tea has been found to be very effective when dealing with weight loss and will help without any dieting.

Drink about three to four cups daily to combat obesity.

Apple Cider Vinegar: This is another popular home remedy to reduce excess weight. It helps breaks down fat, thus preventing the accumulation of body fat.

Drink a mixture of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar in a glass of water daily in the morning and before meals.

Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera is useful in treating obesity because it stimulates metabolism, increases energy consumption and mobilizes unused fat in the body.

Get Aloe Vera juice and drink for at least a month.

Honey: Start your day with honey. A teaspoon of honey mixed in a glass of hot water.

Hot water: Hot water helps in eliminating fat deposits from your body. If you have the habit of drinking cold water, try to replace it with warm or appreciably hot water. Drink hot water after every meal.
